Correction: RUAG MRO Holding AG not condemned

Numerous Swiss media reported on September 22, 2023, that the EU Commission had condemned two companies from the armaments sector for cartel agreements. In addition to a German producer, "the Swiss defense company RUAG" was also affected.

The most-published article begins with the sentence: "The Swiss arms company Ruag cannot get out of the negative headlines: After the inconsistencies surrounding the sale of Leopard-l tanks to Germany and the abrupt resignation of head Brigitte Beck, the focus is now on illegal market agreements."

RUAG MRO Holding AG is keen to set the record straight: RUAG International Holding AG, which took over the affected former RUAG division Ammotec with the demerger in 2020, was condemned.

RUAG MRO Holding AG is therefore not affected by the EU Commission's ruling.
